Kickoff at 4 p.m. CT at Arrowhead Stadium on September 13th "KC vs. St. Louis" MISL/NPSL Reunion Game Planned As Added Attraction For Area Fans
(August 28, 2008) - The Kansas City Wizards will take on the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday, September 13th at Arrowhead Stadium at 4pm. The game will feature several international stars, including David Beckham, who will be making his first appearance in Kansas City. Other players highlighting the list include Landon Donovan, Eddie Lewis, Claudio Lopez, Josh Wolff and Jimmy Conrad. It will also be a chance to see former Wizards player Chris Klein, now with the Galaxy.
Also, earlier that same day, the Wizards will host a MISL/NPSL Reunion Game that will see former players from the St. Louis Steamers, Storm and Ambush take on a team of former Kansas City Comets and Attack players. The Reunion Game will take place at the KC Soccerdome and will kickoff at NOON. Admission is free, but fans must show their Wizards-Galaxy ticket to enter the KC Soccerdome, which is located at 5909 Equitable Road; Kansas City, MO 64120.
Some of the Kansas City MISL/NPSL "Legends" that are scheduled to participate include Bobby Bozada, Tim Clarke, Kim Roentved, Alan Mayer, Goran Hunjak, Warren Westcoat, Jon Parry, Doug McLagan, Vlatko Andonowski, Chris Hundelt, Brian Loftin, Zoran Savic, Kevin Koetters, Scott Gaither and Dr. Emilio John.
The final rosters will be released the day of the game at the KC Soccerdome.
Following the Reunion Game, the "Legends" will then sign autographs outside of Arrowhead Stadium near Soccer Celebration from 2:30pm-3:30pm.
